When it comes to aesthetic treatments like dermal fillers and injectables, most patients focus on one thing: results and some people on price. And while beautiful, natural-looking results are the goal, there’s something happening behind the scenes that matters just as much, if not more. Training. Education. And a commitment to mastery. At Healthy Solutions Medspa, we believe our patients deserve not only great results, but the safest, most advanced care possible. And that starts with investing heavily in our providers’ ongoing education.
The Hidden Difference: What Patients Don’t Always See
A recent conversation really stuck with us: many patients don’t fully realize how much advanced training goes into becoming and staying an expert injector. It’s true. While results are visible, the level of expertise behind those results often isn’t.
Our team consistently participates in:
Advanced dermal filler trainings.
Anatomy-based injection courses.
Hands-on cadaver labs.
National expert-led master classes.
FDA update and product-specific education.
This isn’t occasional, it’s ongoing and done every quarter, if not more.
Learning From the Best in Aesthetic Medicine
Our providers regularly train with some of the most respected leaders in the industry, including:
Board-certified plastic surgeons
National Allergan trainers
Advanced injector specialists
Recent trainings included:
Lower face dermal filler techniques and best practices
Advanced use of Juvederm Voluma for temple restoration
Tear trough filler techniques
Live injection demonstrations and anatomy dissection
These experiences allow our team to stay ahead of trends, refine technique, and deepen their understanding of facial anatomy.
Why Anatomy-Based Training Is So Important
Injectables are not just about placing product. They are about understanding the structure beneath the skin.
Advanced anatomy-based training helps our providers:
Improve precision and symmetry.
Reduce risk and enhance safety.
Create natural, balanced results.
Customize treatments to each patient’s unique facial structure.
This level of expertise is what separates an average injector from an exceptional one.
Better Training = Better Patient Outcomes
When Healthy Solutions Medspa invests in education for our providers, our patients benefit directly. You can expect:
Safer treatments.
More natural-looking results.
Personalized treatment plans.
Greater confidence in your provider.
Because when your injectors understand not just how to treat Botox and dermal filler safely and beautifully, our patients’ outcomes are elevated in every way.
Our Commitment to Continuous Excellence
At Healthy Solutions Medspa, education isn’t optional. It’s part of who we are. From attending national and local conferences to participating in hands-on advanced trainings, our team is constantly refining their skills to bring the highest level of care back to our patients. We believe that staying ahead in aesthetics means never standing still.
Why This Matters To You
Choosing a provider isn’t just about before-and-after photos. It’s about trust, skill and experience. It’s about knowing that the person performing your treatment is:
Highly trained.
Continuously educated.
Committed to safety and precision.
Because when it comes to your face, experience and education matter.

Botox vs. Dysport vs. Xeomin vs. Jeuveau vs. Daxxify
Which Botox is the best?
There is only one Botox but there are other similar neurotoxins on the market called Dysport, Xeomin Jeuveau and the newest on the market Daxxify.
What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Botox was FDA approved in 2002 and was the first neurotoxin used for cosmetic purposes. Botox Cosmetic treats moderate to severe lines on the forehead and crows’ feet. Dysport is a prescription injection for temporary improvement of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). It was FDA approved in 2009 in the United States. Dysport may act quicker in some patients than Botox in seeing results. The biggest difference between Botox and Dysport is the quantity of units needed due to the potency of Dysport. Dysport requires 2-3 units to 1 unit of Botox so if an area requires 25 units of Botox, you may need 50 plus units of Dysport. While Dysport maybe cheaper than Botox, the quantity of units of Dysport physicians need to use is more than Botox and thus there is not a big difference in price. In addition, Dysport has been shown to drift more than Botox causing relaxation of neighboring muscles. Unlike other toxins, Dysport contains cow milk protein and therefore cannot be used for those that are allergic to milk.
What is the difference between Botox and Xeomin?
XEOMIN® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults for a short period of time (temporary). FDA approved in 2011 in the United States. The cost of Xeomin is about the same as Botox and the number of units needed for treatment is the same as Botox. Xeomin is said to have a slower onset at day 4 vs Botox is 72 hours. It is a pure form of botulinum toxin and can be used for patients with resistance build up to other toxins.
What is the difference between Botox and Jeuveau?
Jeuveau™ is the newest neurotoxin also know in the market as Newtox. The prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs injection is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). FDA approved in 2019. Jeuveau can cost less than Botox but with Botox running promotions, they typically are similar in price. While Botox is approved for therapeutic and cosmetic treatments such aseyelid spasms, severe underarm sweating, migraines, overactive bladder, pediatric upper limb spasticity, and relaxing wrinkles, Jeuveau is only approved for cosmetic purposes. Since Botox has been on the market the longest, there are more clinical safety studies than Jeuveau.
What is the difference between Botox and Daxxify?
The main difference between the treatments is how long the treatment lasts. Daxxify results last longer than Botox, typically 2 times longer than Botox. The price of Daxxify also costs more than Botox.
Which neurotoxin is right for you?
It is best to discuss all your options with a physician during your consultation.
Yes. Men and Women get Botox. More men are getting Botox now. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in their 2018 Plastic Surgery Report there was a 381% increase in men getting Botox since 2000.
What is Brotox?
It is a term used for men getting Botox.
What is Baby Botox?
It’s a term used for a smaller amount of Botox injected or less than the amount that is recommended for the area. It doesn’t last as long as a recommended treatment of 4 months. It may last about 2 months.
What is a Botox Party?
A Botox party is when a group of 5 or more plan to get Botox treatments done at the same time in a casual atmosphere. The hostess that plans the party and her friends usually get discounted Botox treatments. It’s best to have these in a medical setting and not at

What Is a Botox Brow Lift?
A Botox brow lift is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that uses small, precise injections of Botox to relax specific muscles that pull the brows downward. By softening these muscles, the brow naturally lifts, opening the eyes and smoothing forehead lines.

If you’re considering Botox for the first time, you’re not alone. Many people choose Botox as a preventative or corrective treatment to soften fine lines and maintain a refreshed appearance. However, knowing what to expect can help you feel confident and prepared.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything from your initial consultation to post-treatment results, so you can enjoy your Botox experience with ease.
What Is Botox and How Does It Work?
Botox is a purified neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes targeted facial muscles. As a result, it reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated expressions like frowning or squinting.
Because Botox works beneath the skin, it smooths lines while preserving your natural facial movement when administered correctly.
Common Areas Treated With Botox
Forehead lines
Frown lines (11s) between the brows
Crow’s feet around the eyes
Brow lift and facial slimming
What to Expect Before Your Botox Appointment
Before treatment, you’ll meet with a trained provider for a personalized consultation. During this time, they’ll evaluate your facial anatomy and discuss your aesthetic goals.
Additionally, your provider will review your medical history and answer any questions you may have. This step ensures safe treatment and optimal results.
How to Prepare for your Botox Treatment:
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior
Skip blood-thinning medications if approved by your provider
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
What Happens During a Botox Treatment?

After your appointment, you can return to most daily activities right away. However, proper aftercare plays a key role in achieving the best results.
Immediate Aftercare Tips
Stay upright for at least 4 hours
Avoid rubbing or massaging treated areas
Skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours
Mild redness or swelling may occur, but it typically resolves within a few hours.
Is Botox Safe for First-Time Patients?
When administered by a licensed and experienced provider, Botox is both safe and effective. In fact, many patients start Botox early to prevent deep lines from forming.
Choosing the right injector makes all the difference. Skill and technique ensure natural-looking results that enhance your features rather than freeze them.
Frequently Asked First Time Botox Treatment Questions and Answers:
Botox will not freeze your face when an experienced injector performs the treatment. Instead, it relaxes specific muscles while preserving natural facial movement. The goal is always subtle, refreshed results—not an overdone look.
The number of units depends on the treatment area, muscle strength, and desired results. First-time patients often need fewer units. During your consultation, your provider will create a personalized plan.
Yes, you can return to work the same day. Botox requires little to no downtime. You may notice minor redness or swelling at injection sites, but it typically fades quickly.

Platysma Botox is a non-surgical neck treatment that uses Botox injections to relax the platysma muscle, which runs from the collarbone to the jawline. As this muscle weakens with age, it creates vertical neck bands. Platysma Botox smooths these bands and lifts the jawline, often called the “Nefertiti Lift.”
Causes of Wrinkles of the Platysmal Bands or "Vertical Neck Bands"
Several factors contribute to the development of platysma bands, including:
Natural aging and skin laxity
Loss of collagen and elastin
Overuse of the platysma muscle
Genetic predisposition
Weight loss and lifestyle habits
How Botox Treats Platysma Bands
The Science Behind Botox
Botox is a neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes muscles.
When injected into the platysmal bands, Botox reduces muscle contractions, softening their appearance and giving the neck a smoother, more youthful look.
The Procedure: Quick and Minimally Invasive
The treatment is simple and takes less than 30 minutes.
A medical provider carefully injects Botox into the platysma bands using fine needles.
Discomfort is minimal, and patients can resume normal activities immediately after the procedure.
Expected Results and Longevity
Most patients notice improvements within a few days, with full results appearing in about two weeks.
The effects of Botox for platysma bands last approximately three to four months.
Regular treatments help maintain a youthful neck contour over time.
Benefits of Botox for Platysma Bands
Non-Surgical Neck Rejuvenation
Unlike neck lift surgery, Botox offers a non-invasive solution with no downtime.
Patients can enjoy a smoother neck without the risks associated with surgery.
Subtle and Natural-Looking Results
When performed by an experienced provider, Botox injections deliver natural results.
The neck appears relaxed and youthful, not frozen or overly tight.
Enhancing Jawline Definition
Softening platysmal bands also enhances jawline definition.
This creates a more sculpted and youthful appearance, complementing the lower face.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Botox for Vertical Neck Bands?
Ideal Candidates
Individuals noticing visible platysma bands
Those seeking a non-surgical alternative to a neck lift
Patients with good skin elasticity

Mild swelling, bruising, or redness may occur but usually resolve within a few days. Severe complications are rare when performed by a qualified provider.
Botox For Neck Lines or Platisma Bands Frequently Asked Questions:
The platysma is a broad, thin sheet of muscle that runs from your collarbone up to your jawline and lower face. As we age, this muscle becomes more prominent and pulls downward, creating the vertical “neck bands” or “tech neck cords” you see when speaking or tensing, and contributing to a sagging jawline.
Platysma Botox works by injecting small, precise doses of Botox directly into the platysma muscle along these bands. The Botox temporarily blocks the nerve signals that cause the muscle to contract, allowing it to relax. When the platysma relaxes, three things happen:
The jawline appears lifted because the platysma is no longer tugging it downward
The neck contour becomes more defined, restoring a more youthful neck-to-jaw transition
Most patients see results within 7-14 days, with full effects lasting 3-4 months. At Healthy Solutions Medspa, your medical provider uses an ultra-fine needle to place 25-60 units along the platysma bands, customized to your muscle strength and goals. The treatment takes about 15-20 minutes with no downtime.
Most patients need 25-60 units depending on muscle strength and band severity. At Healthy Solutions Medspa, your provider will assess your neck during consultation to recommend the right dosage for your goals
Botox at Healthy Solutions Medspa is $13.50 per unit for non-members, $11.50 per unit for VIP members. Total Botox treatment for the platysma bands can range from $300 to $486 depending on units needed.
Results for Botox for platysma bands can last 3-4 months, the same duration as facial Botox. Consistent treatments every 3-4 months can extend results over time as the platysma muscle weakens.
Platysma Botox and a neck lift treat the same area, which is the neck and jawline, but they’re very different procedures with different goals, costs, and recovery times.
Here’s how they compare:
Platysma Botox is a non-surgical, in-office treatment that uses Botox injections to relax the platysma muscle. It smooths vertical neck bands and softens the jawline by stopping the muscle from pulling down. Results appear within 1-2 weeks and last 3-4 months. There’s no downtime, no incisions, and no anesthesia. Treatment takes about 15-20 minutes and typically costs $287-$810 at Healthy Solutions Medspa, depending on units needed.
A neck lift is a surgical procedure performed by a plastic surgeon. It involves incisions behind the ears and under the chin to physically remove excess skin, tighten underlying muscle, and remove or reposition fat. Results are permanent (though aging continues), but recovery takes 2-4 weeks with significant bruising and swelling. Cost typically ranges from $8,000-$15,000, plus anesthesia and facility fees.
Which one is right for you?
Platysma Botox is the better choice if you:
Have mild to moderate neck banding caused by muscle activity Have good skin elasticity (not significantly sagging or loose) Want a non-surgical option with zero downtime Want to “try” neck rejuvenation before committing to surgery Are in your 30s, 40s, or early 50s A neck lift may be more appropriate if you:
Have significant loose or sagging skin (not just muscle bands) Have substantial fat deposits under the chin Want permanent results Are typically in your late 50s or older Have already maximized non-surgical options Many of our patients at Healthy Solutions Medspa start with platysma Botox in their 40s and 50s as a long-term anti-aging strategy. Consistent treatment every 3-4 months can delay the need for surgical intervention by years, and for patients with good skin quality, it may eliminate the need entirely.
